The Queen Street Outreach Society, (QSOS),
is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization made up of people
whove experienced the mental health system. The QSOS
is no longer funded (see the 'QSOS'
link to the left).

QSOS organizes information about the mental health system
for and by people who have experienced it first hand. Find
out more about what psychiatric survivors and mental health
consumers have been saying about attempts at system reform
under 'feedback'.
QSOS has provided education, information and training on
mental health and legal issues (see 'rights')
by psychiatric survivors and consumers (e.g., 'clients', 'patients'
'inmates'). We have done training with Toronto police officers,
health care workers, social workers, psychiatric workers,
as well as families, survivors and consumers across Ontario.
QSOS encourages respectful discussion and debate on key issues
facing our membership. We believe this will help our emerging
culture understand itself (see survivor 'links'),
and in turn help others relate to each other.
